¶ Field Uniform (also called “Class A”)
You provide:
- Uniform Shirt
- Council patch
- World scouting crest
- US Flag patch (normally included on the shirt)
- Scout Pants (optional) or dark pants or shorts
- Closed-toed shoes
- Scout Hat (optional) or other scout-theme hat
- Merit badge sash (worn at courts of honor or boards of review)
The troop provides:
- dark green shoulder loops
- unit numbers patch
- patrol emblem
- badge of office
- awards, ranks, or recognitions
Our troop does not wear neckerchiefs.
Remove all cub scout insignia:
- Webelos Rank Patch
- Den Patch
- Whittling Chip
- Pinewood Derby
- etc.
Keep the Arrow of Light rank patch below the left pocket, with the sun’s rays pointing up.

Two commonly misplaced patches are the “Totin’ Chip” and “Firem’n Chit” patches, which are placed ON the (boy’s) right pocket, rather than on the pocket flap. The pocket flap is reserved for the Order of the Arrow honor society patch.

- Casual Adventure - closer, more limited selection
- The Scout Shop - greater selection
- eBay or other sources of used items. Items that were official uniform items at any point in the past are still valid uniform items.
The Field Uniform is worn at all scouting meetings during the school year (September to June), upon arrival at all troop events and campouts unless otherwise specified.
¶ Activity Uniform (also called “Class B”)
- Troop T-shirt
- Appropriate pants or shorts
- Closed-toe shoes
The troop provides a Troop T-shirt to every registered scout and registered adult leader. We normally provide a new t-shirt after a couple of years. Clean T-shirts that are in good condition but have “shrunk” 
can be swapped for a larger size
The activity uniform is worn for scout meetings during the summer, and during campouts after arrival at the campsite.
